Burger in Bengkurong

My father is not a person who like to eat burger like his son which is me. Burger is something that I like more than any other fast food. Seriously, its something miracle that is invented by a genius. And Brunei is no exception on making some of the best burger. On this post, I will like to review one burger stall that since long time ago I want to review, AHOA burger.

CIMG2475
This is their branch in Bengkurong. Its only open in the morning.

CIMG2476
If you are hungry and you don't want to eat your burger somewhere else, worry not. They provide convenience seatings for you to enjoy your burger with your friend, roofless.

CIMG2478
Hi! Err... Nancy? She accompany me when I'm waiting for my order.

CIMG2480
All the windows of this stall are being wired up! Now, this is kinda like KFC: Secret Recipe.

CIMG2482
Even I can't guess the ingredient to made the burger although I stand too close to the window.

CIMG2479
Unlucky me, they don't sell Mr. Brown.

CIMG2485
This is what I ordered: Beef Burger Special and Chicken Burger Special. Goat? I eat goat only when it was roasted with honey, not with 2 pieces of bread.

CIMG2487
Look at the thickness of the egg in this Chicken Burger Special! Its thick! Its taste are crazy enough to tell you to buy another one!

CIMG2488
Another thing that I like about this burger is the cheese. I don't know how many slice of cheese in this burger but it blend well with the chicken and the egg.

CIMG2489
However, I'm looking forward more on the beef burger because I like beef burger the most from chicken burger. Thats why the best are save for later.

CIMG2497
Same setting like the Chicken Burger Special: thick perfect circle egg, slices of cheese and sauces.

CIMG2494
The beef, its delicious. I can't explain how delicious it is unless you go buy for yourself this Beef Burger Special, then you know how worth your money is.

So guys, if you want to taste their awesome burger, just stroll down to Bengkurong at Simpang 66-19-33 (guess what, I've already memorise the address!) in the morning while at their branch in Mulaut near to Mulaut mosque in the afternoon. You better bring lots of money (like what I did today) because 1 is not enough to satisfy your lust for this awesome treat. See you next time on another post!

p.s.: woot to AHOA Burger.

Instant Happy and Instant Bored

How am I gonna put an introduction to this time new post? The title can tell you what is wrong and what is, dunno... I should stop babbling. Meanwhile, on the last Saturday of the January:

CIMG2274
We ON a barbecue session beside a group of lecturers playing crickets.

CIMG2273
And this is the chef of the day, the one who stand on the top of the school. He is like an Oyabun in a Yakuza world. Seriously, look at the eyebrow.

CIMG2275
This is a happy go-lucky friend. Seriously, I never really-really saw you with a real sad face.

Thats it for January because at that time, I'm too busy on eating rather than taking a nice picture. And here come the February. And for the first time ever in the history of the school (well, maybe its the first time in my life), the open day not that 'KILL'.

CIMG2375
The front page on my school bulletin (which really never exist).

CIMG2372
Happy go lucky friend with happy go-lucky designed poster. Epic Win!

CIMG2364
Here it is my lecturer looking after the stall. FYI, he is the best lecturer that I ever seen. He taught me a lot of theory. Not only that, he taught me about moral code. Seriously, I should thank him. Alot.

CIMG2399
The one with the blue ECA shirt, he is my another best lecturer. He have taught me well. So well that I appreciate what he have sacrifice for me. Thanks Sir, I know you read this.

Talking about these open day, one things that disappointed me and maybe disappointed everyone: the newspaper. Especially about how many days my school run the open day. Don't know who give them the info but that guy sure gonna get big 'batu' on their head.

CIMG2361
And because of that, my mood to capture good photo and video are not that satisfying. I just put this food's photo to make this post longer. Talking about the food, this year, there was a huge disappointment on the Food Department. The food, not awesome like last year open day.

CIMG2404
Student from other school ask one of my junior about the course.

CIMG2405
Fish student brief the students from other school.

Thats all from me. I have video on the open day. You can watch it on my Tumblr. No comment about everything and thats all from me. Buhbye.

We Eat Dinner Because Of The Scenery.

My dad told me this (the title of this post) when we have our dinner last Saturday. He want to enjoy the scenery although the food are not quite satisfying to me and hygiene is not that good (well, what do you expect for outdoor dine in?). Its a promise by my dad to get his family a dine in food beside a river, Kianggeh to be exact.

29012011575
A great scenery of Kampong Ayer, the biggest water village in the world.

29012011572
Some said Kianggeh famous because of the satay. So we all give it a try. And I have no complain about it.

29012011573
A mouth watering satay. You couldn't resist for it (although you have been warned by your doctor).

29012011578
Ketupat. After we ordered it and it was served to us, I went to Foursquare to check for some tips on a good food here at Kianggeh. One of the tips (made by someone) compliment about the ketupat which are kinda "not awesome". Me? Honestly, if you dip it with the Satay sauce, it will be an awesome ketupat.

29012011577
Fried noodles with fried chickens. Not recommended. If you want some more good fried noodles, just hit the Khaz Corner. They served one of the best. Kianggeh good because of the satay.

29012011580
Fried Kueh Teow with fried chicken. No compliment because I'm not ordering that.

29012011579
My order is only this, a plate of rice. Seriously, I'm already full at the time the rice are served infront of me due to in the noon, I've attending BBQ and have eat a lot of meat and seafood.

29012011576
One of the things that I like here in Kianggeh is that they sell my favourite drinks for BND 1 per glass! So, I've ordered 2 glasses.

29012011574
This was taken before all the noddles and the drinks served on our table. I'm into chopstick nowadays.

29012011582
And this is Toby. I've called him Toby because he came from out of nowhere and keep us company til we leave. Sure its not free to sit on our site. Several pieces of meat and chickens will do for him.

I was recommended to test the satay and the soto but I didn't order the soto and did not know what was the taste of it. Therefore I will come here again to try the soto because it was listed on the tips on Foursquare. On other note, there will be a message after this post. Horryyaah!

50 years.

Hi all! Its been a long time I did not update my blog. 1 month? A bit long time which full with unexpected things. Mentioning about time, I was driving under the heavy rain yesterday and my sister start a conversation about what is happening yesterday. Its my father's birthday and he turn 50 years old. Half a millennium is not a short journey. Its a long journey.

08112010094
This is the man who have brought me into this world. Happy 50th Birthday dad.

We celebrate his birthday at the newly renovated Khaz Corner in Sengkurong. Actually, last week when we celebrate my mum and my sister birthday, my sister vote to hold the celebration here at Khaz Corner but she bail out her plan after everyone vote for another restaurant.

Celebrating the birthday with his family is something that we can't express with word and expression.

Talking about the new renovation, nothings seems to change alot. Except on the wall and the door. However, the food a bit delicious this time. I don't know why but maybe because its been a very long time I didn't dine there.

08112010089
This is my favorite. Everytime I go to this restaurant, I will order spaghetti (except when in Ramadhan).

08112010092
I've also have a chance to taste the buttermilk prawn set. It was awesome because the prawn is juicy and the buttermilk is crispy and soft.

08112010091
And also have a chance to taste the fish in mango sauce.

08112010090
I though 'Ayam Penyet' is when the chicken are dip in a curry flour then fry and I'm wrong. Its actually a traditional fried chicken! Correct me if I'm wrong.

08112010088
And my tradition beverage, ABC. I wonder why I always order this drink although I know the dairy contain in this drink will increase the chances I suffer from dehydration.

This is only a small update on what is going on around me. And once more, Happeth Berthday Dad. May you get well on your work, life and social activities. And now, thats the end of this update and the next update will be on next month, next year or next decade. Because next update will be my 100th post! So, it must be something special. So, gotta go and holla all guys!

School Canteen

Its been awhile I don't visit the school canteen. Since I was told I will be repeating. So yesterday, I have an opportunity to have my lunch there.

Photobucket
There are no changes here to cater the growing number of students or the students prefer to eat their lunch somewhere else.

Photobucket
I don't see any changes either on the food they served. Except a month before I repeat, they start to sell all the local crackers and delicacies.

Photobucket
This new.

Photobucket
If you like nasi katok with some extra spicy hot sambal paste, this is your lunch. I remembered the last time I eat their nasi katok, cold water is my best friend at that time.

Photobucket
This is the worst packaging ever for he cheap fried fish ball and its cost BND 1.00. 4 fish ball cost a dollar? I can get like 5 fried fish ball for BND 0.70 in Giant.

Photobucket
First of all, this is not a spaghetti. Why? Its not a spaghetti noodle, but its a normal noodle which is widely used to cook fried noodle. So, what should we call this. Noodle with tomato sauce and sausage? The taste a bit spicy but not to hot like the nasi katok.

Photobucket
This is the most horrible curry noodle I ever taste. Because it was a treat from my junior, I have to mow them down. Why its horrible? First of all, the onion is too big and bitter. I have no question about the noodle but the curry, its too spicy! Even I munch them with the boiled egg to ease my tongue, its still no use.

So, my review about the canteen? Totally down. The one who attend the canteen operation also did not satisfy their customer need like I want them to cook an Indomee for me but they start negotiate with me. They cook if I buy it for more than a dollar or they don't. That's the worst practice of treating of customer. So then, see you next time! Holla!

Visit to Cow Jail.

Yesterday, I've joined the junior for an educational trip to Agriculture Livestock Research Centre in Kampong Batang Mitus which was in the heart of Tutong.

CIMG0563
The journey quite horrible actually. We depart from the school at 8 AM sharp on a rent school bus which was driven by a woman. I have no comment on the surrounding area during the road trip but I do have comment on how she drive.

CIMG0569
For the intro, the officer of the Agriculture Department brief us with the history of the centre, its function and what are their current activities.

CIMG0587
Juniors and the respective lecturer listening to the briefing.

CIMG0593
The officer in charge showing us some of the equipment use in their work. This is a taser gun, enough to  kick the cow down.

CIMG0624
One of the officer in charge was giving an explaination on some of the medicals and equipment use in their work.

CIMG0692
Then after the briefing, we all then made a tour around the centre.

CIMG0663
At this cow housing, we were brief on the usage of some of the facilities in their work.

And this is my current display photo (DP) of my Facebook profile.

CIMG0675
For your information, not all cow here was put into the fenced area for research, but some of it like on the above picture are own by irresponsible people who left their cow free around the public without any surveillance. The owner must pay BND 1000 to release the cow.

CIMG0677
Fight between them always occur due to their living condition where they were put on a fenced area, therefore limiting their freedom which develop their stress. This cow have suffered from bruises and cut as well as damaged horn due to fight.

CIMG0668
All the cow dung were not wasted away but wash into this pool where it will naturally dry before it can be use as a fertilizer.

CIMG0653
Along our way, we are keep brief on what are their activities that are currently going around such as the preparation of grass for the cow to graze.

CIMG0689

CIMG0707
After finish touring the area, we now off back to the office for some refreshment.

CIMG0716
After the refreshment, Badrul on the behalf of us give a thank speech to all the officer in charge.

CIMG0718
On the way back to school, Mr. Liew share with us the Para Grass which is quite sweet. Taste like a sour young mango.

The visit are important to us to know how the livestock company running a day to day operation. We accumulate new experience as well having a good time, gaining new knowledge while clearing the head from some of the work. For the rest of the photo, check it here. And to this driver:

CIMG0728
Which is a woman. Know what your vehicle is, drive slow and keep your eyes open for potholes.

CIMG0729
And preserve the road code and safety is important. Bye and see you next month for new post because I have reach my limit on my Flickr account. Holla!
